Purpose Of Our Project
- To increase pupils’ interest in nature and to make them sensitive to the need for a “sustainable future”,
- To educate pupils’ about the pollution of rivers and seas by chemicals and additives,
- To develop feelings of European citizenship and raise consciousness about how pollution is a problem that challenges all of Europe,
- To promote knowledge of European languages and to give students a chance to practice their English,
- To meet peers from other countries and to let them see how ecological issues are dealt with around the world,
- To encourage respect among students for different nationalities and cultures by enlarging the students’ cultural horizons and letting them understand that every society has its own complexities and diversities,
- To actively involve local communities and especially the parents of the students involved, so that they understand the European dimension of environmental education,
- To improve international understanding and cooperation for both students and their families, teachers and schools,
- To expose students to cultural diversity by enabling them to see different cultures and countries,
- To increase a specifically European environmental awareness in the local communities.
