Purpose Of Our Project

To increase pupils’ interest in nature and to make them sensitive to the need for a “sustainable future”,
To educate pupils’ about the pollution of rivers and seas by chemicals and additives,
To develop feelings of European citizenship and raise consciousness about how pollution is a problem that challenges all of Europe,
To promote knowledge of European languages and to give students a chance to practice their English,
To meet peers from other countries and to let them see how ecological issues are dealt with around the world,
To encourage respect among students for different nationalities and cultures by enlarging the students’ cultural horizons and letting them understand that every society has its own complexities and diversities,
To actively involve local communities and especially the parents of the students involved, so that they understand the European dimension of environmental education,
To improve international understanding and cooperation for both students and their families, teachers and schools,
To expose students to cultural diversity by enabling them to see different cultures and countries,
To increase a specifically European environmental awareness in the local communities.
